Our Privacy Policy

Who Are We?

Our website address is: https://www.heaton-press.co.uk.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third-party embeds. These could  include name, email address, delivery address, website activity, and technical data, such as information from cookies.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact forms

We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through any kind of marketing purposes.

When requesting a sample pack from us, we ask for your delivery address, name and email address. This personal data won’t be violated or used in any other way, and shall be disregarded after making this order.

When subscribing to our Newsletter mailing list, we take only the personal data you give us, such as name and email address. We don’t share this date, keeping this personal data protected and professionally stored. If you wish to opt out of our mailing list, email us at sales@heaton-press.co.uk or click unsubscribe on our latest newsletter you would have received by email.

Feedback forms

We ask our clients to fill in a feedback survey, and we collect this feedback information for the purpose of improving our services and products, and to make sure our clients are always happy.

We keep feedback form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, and will be deleted after this time. We do not use the information submitted through any kind of marketing purposes, unless you’ve granted otherwise. Nor do we send this information to any third-parties.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

This website has installed a Google Analytics plugin that provides analytics web services. This plugin will allow us to see our website and visitors performance. In that case, here is some information from that plugin here: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp/#description

How long we retain your data

We may want to keep contact form and client feedback entries for six months, and analytic records for a year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, if we hold that kind of information. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

We don’t send any of our website visitors information to anyone one else, apart from ourselves at Heaton Press Ltd. However, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, before we will receive them.
